ZAPI is the leader in motion control for battery and hybrid motor vehicles. The company was founded in the mid-1970s by Giannino Zanichelli, a highly motivated engineer and entrepreneur to invest in electronic motion control at a time when its huge potential was visible only to a few.

ZAPI started its activities in Poviglio, near Reggio Emilia and Parma, in the heart of northern Italy, and is now a global presence with a commercial and technical network of subsidiaries and distributors worldwide.

The passion for technology, design, quality, highly qualified customer support and hard work are the pillars that have made ZAPI a successful company in just a few decades, able to reach its position as world leader.

Today, ZAPI is a solid company operating internationally, with a steadily growing market share and a leading position in the power inverters of the AC electrical machines segment; the advanced technologies implemented in its products and the continuous improvement effort are just two of the many elements that define ZAPI.

Market: ZAPI holds a leading position in the European market and exports products all over the world with a global market share of over 40%.

Presence: ZAPI with its advanced R & D department, a world-class manufacturing facility and headquarters are located in Poviglio, northern Italy. The site is at the center of an integrated logistics platform, close to Bologna airport, Reggio Emilia railway station and two of the most important Italian motorways.
